College Success Initiative

The College Success Initiative (CSI) was launched in 2009 as a response to the alarming national statistics about college success for low-income students. According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, only 16% of low-income students graduate from college within eight years.

College Mentoring Program

This program matches external professionals with similar degrees or professional backgrounds with CSI students and Steps juniors and seniors at Brookline High School. Mentors serve many roles for students, including providing emotional and goal-setting support, friendship, and advocacy. For a heartwarming look at how mentoring changes lives and breeds success, check out our 2019 Impact Report.

If you are interested in being a mentor, please contact Kaitlin Chin at kchin@stepstosuccessbrookline.org.
