We are delighted to unveil our new Steps Educational Equity Society (SEES). This program is our way of expressing thanks to a select group of individuals, who, by supporting Steps, are taking the lead in fighting systemic inequality in our community by providing access to high-quality educational programs.
Membership is renewable annually according to our fiscal year, which ends on June 30. Gifts of any type determine membership level: online gifts, gifts by check or phone, donor-advised fund grants, securities transfers, employer-matching grants, gifts to our annual Step Up Celebration, or other program sponsorships.
In addition to occasional recognition of members (e.g. optional listing in our Annual Report and at Steps events), we have in mind a pair of forums with experts in educational equity, public policy, and other fields related to our work. Our hope is to hold these gatherings in private homes, offices, other intimate settings, or virtually as required. We aim to foster a casual environment for conversation, exchange of ideas, and socializing among fellow members and their guests.
We are thrilled to launch this new giving society. The journey to educational equity and justice in Brookline needs a passionate, socially-conscious group of leadership supporters, leveling the educational playing field, one step at a time for our Steps students and families.
